The Ministry of Health Tanzania has the responsibility of overseeing the professions of Doctors, Dentists, and Allied Health Professionals in the country through the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) established under Section 4 of the Medical, Dental and Allied Health Professionals Act (Chapter No. 152). The primary goal of the Council is to ensure that the community receives quality and safe services from professionals. In an effort to strengthen and enhance healthcare services in the country, the Ministry plans to hire three (03) Call Center Agents jobs at Wizara ya Afya Tanzania on an eleven-month contract.

Vacancy: Call Center Agents at Wizara ya Afya – (3 Positions)

Applicant Qualifications:

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Administration, Human Resource Management, or similar qualifications from government-recognized institutions.

Job and Responsibilities:

  1. Receive calls from professionals and other Council clients and provide accurate and satisfactory responses promptly.
  2. Provide assistance to professionals and Council clients via phone and online platforms.
  3. Resolve problems within their capacity and address those forwarded by calling customers.
  4. Escalate issues beyond their capacity to their supervisors and provide feedback to professionals after issue resolution.
  5. Make calls to professionals and other Council clients to inform them about various Council matters.
  6. Guide professionals making calls on how to use the Council’s ICT system.
  7. Maintain a phone register.
  8. Review accounts of professionals making calls in the ICT system, educate, advise, and provide other instructions on identified issues.
  9. Provide recommendations to their supervisor on matters related to the Council’s customer service center.
  10. Collaborate with other customer service center professionals to enhance service.
  11. Perform any other tasks as directed by their supervisor.
  12. Input information into the data collection system.
  13. Monitor issues and complaints submitted by citizens.
  14. Execute other duties assigned by the Employer.
